This cute Victorian Bergere chair looks so fresh and bright, with its brand new linen. The customer wanted to update this antique find. The back was in pretty good shape. I added some extra cotton felt, retied the springs and replaced the webbing. I fitted fire-retardant calico and then applied the gorgeous linen, supplied by the customer. The dated gimp braid was replaced with hand stitched double welt piping. If you have a similar piece they’re well worth restoring into something unique and wonderful. They need relatively small amounts of top fabric so you could splash out on something unique and wonderful to express your own style and personality. Contact me with your ideas!
